While the Fiscal Court is plowing new ground with a countywide alcohol ordinance, they are having to amend and adjust as they go from ordinance to the practicality of putting it into play.
That was evident at the caucus meeting on Tuesday, February 2, when Judge Executive David Fields informed the court that Pendleton Hills needed a license that the court had not included in the ordinance.
While a license for the bar within the clubhouse and Sunday sales was in the ordinance, a special bar license for the Carriage House is needed where weddings, reunions and other events are held.
The court also discussed a petition to bring roads into the county maintenance program.
It also reviewed a request from the recreation commission for maintaining the ball fields at the athletic park.
All three issues will have action taken at the regular scheduled meeting on Tuesday, February 9.
The court finished the meeting by entering into executive session to discuss collective bargaining, employer/employee.
As it was a caucus, no action could be taken on any issue.
