County Clerk celebrates retirement
The Outlook traveled to the island of Oahu, Hawaii, in June with Cindy Wright and daughters Kelly Miller, Ravin Marrs and Jackie Sue Wright Shadoan. It resembles a push lawnmower, but Billy Wilkerson of the Simpson County Historical Society is using a ground-penetrating radar device last Friday at Hardin-Browning American Legion Post 109, 111 Montjoy St., Falmouth. More than 100 years ago, the site was an AME Church graveyard. The cemetery was relocated, but the device detected eight unmarked graves that were overlooked in the move. Photo by D. Franklin.

Pendleton County native Natalie Kelsch Stewart and her husband, AJ, take a breather at the Lenoxburg Store during a 100-mile bike ride June 20. The couple are training for the Ironman Lake Placid on July 19 in Lake Placid, New York.
Just your everyday 100-mile bicycle ride
Natalie Wolfe, chairman of the Floral Hall at the Pendleton County Youth Fair, arranges the first vegetable entries Sunday. Wolfe said the number of entries slipped a few years ago when the fair was forced to switch to a June starting date to accommodate the availability of the carnival rides company.
