After school on Thursday, February 4, at PCHS, the Senior Council for the Class of 2021 was finally able to have a meeting with all members in person. They tried to accomplish everything they are able to do so at this time.
All children who are five years old prior to August 1, 2021, are eligible for kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year.
Kindergarten Registration for Southern and Northern Elementary Schools will be conducted through online registration.
Competing via Google Meets, the PCHS Academic Team placed first overall taking home many individual awards.
The Quick Recall Team faced three matches that day and came out on top in all of them. The Future Problem Solving Team also received a first place finish in their division.
The Pendleton County School Board Meeting met in regular session on January 11, 2021 beginning with the Health and Wellness session. There were no comments so the board proceeded to the normally scheduled meeting.
First item of business was the election of a new chairperson.
The Pendleton County school board met in regular session on December 14, 2020 at Phillip Sharp Middle School.
Superintendent Joe Buerkley gave his report in which he complimented and thanked the finance department, accountants for each schools, and principals for their diligent work.
Governor Andy Besear’s executive order to close schools to in-person instruction allowed for elementary students to return to in-person learning on December 7, 2020 if their county was out of the red status.
Pendleton County has consistently hovered between 50 and 70 status.
Pendleton County High School announces that four juniors have been selected as our nominees to the Kentucky Governor’s Scholar Program (GSP). This year’s nominees are: Addyson Crouch, Mason Hardy, Keeley Pollard, and Keitin Pugh.
The school calendar for 2020-21 has had to undergo major revision as Covid-19 has wreaked havoc on the school’s ability to be in session and offering in-person classes.
