The Pendleton County School Board met in regular session on Monday, March 15, 2021, at the Phillip Sharp Middle School with several items to discuss.     Karen Delaney, school board member stated, “Great job to everyone involved in handling last week issue at Northern Elementary School.

Ladycats go bezerk on Villa Madonna Vikings

The Ladycats wrapped up the regular season with two games last week.     They faced the Villa Madonna Vikings at home last Monday. Coach Jenna O’Hara changed the line up for the game and started her four seniors and Saniah Thomas against the Vikings.

UK MBB Game vs. South Carolina Rescheduled for March 6

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The previously postponed Kentucky men’s basketball game vs. South Carolina has been rescheduled for March 6 at Rupp Arena. The tip time and TV network will be announced at a later time.

Make sure your child is registered for Kindergarten

All children who are five years old prior to August 1, 2021, are eligible for kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year.        Kindergarten Registration for Southern and Northern Elementary Schools will be conducted through online registration.

Parents react positively to full-time school

The announcement by Supt. Joe Buerkley that schools would reopen on March 1 has spread excitement across the county for the ones we maybe most expected it to--the parents!

Can Commencement be held like normal?

Will the high schools be able to return to an in-person commencement for the Class of 2021 or will schools have to keep it virtual is a burning question for seniors and their parents.     “We have not determined any dates or locations for senior activities at this time.
