PCHS CheerCats Produce Top Ten Finish At Nationals

Wildcats Bowling Competes At State Tournament, Pushes State Champ Trinity To The Limit

By Rhonda Hutchison On February 6-7, the Pendleton Wildcat Bowling Teams traveled to Louisville  to compete in the state bowling competition.

Pendleton County shows up at district competition to win!

By Hannah Thomas Pendleton’s Academic Team came out of district competition as first place champions and will advance to regionals in February. Students competed in various academic categories such as test taking, quick recall, future problem solving, and composition, and swept in all categories.

Ladycats enjoy victory on Senior night

By Stacey Myers The Pendleton Ladycats dropped their first two games of the week but rebounded to pull out a victory on Senior Night. On January 18, they team traveled to Paris and fell 58-50. Senior Cara Stewart was the leading scorer with 19 points go with seven rebounds.
Ladycats senior Cara Stewart was honored before the start of the home game versus Lloyd on Jan. 6. She became the 10th girl in team history to reach 1,000 points for her career. She accomplished that feat in the Jan. 4 road game at Grant County. She’s pictured with team head coach Patrick Kelsch.

Stewart reaches 1,000 as Ladycat’s record improves to 10-4

By: Stacey Myers The Pendleton County Ladycats collected two more wins to improve to 10-4 as senior Cara Stewart made more team history by becoming the 10th female to reach 1,000 points for her career. The girls traveled to Grant County on Jan. 4 and defeated the Lady Braves 58-52.

Good news dominates last school board meeting of 2022

By Brenda Higgins As the Pendleton County School Board met for the last time in 2022, they ended with a bang. One category on the agenda is entitled “Great News,” and it certainly did not disappoint.

    Kyle Pettit is another new not so new face to Pendleton County Wildcat Football fans. In years past you would find him on the pressbox calling in defensive schemes or on the sidelines calling out directions to the players on the field.

Pendleton County Schools announced last week that Patrick Kelsch had been hired as Varsity Ladycat Basketball Coach.     Coach Kelsch has plenty of varsity experience having coached at Bracken County High School and Robertson County High School in over a 15 year career.
