The summer has seen horrible actions from a handful of police officers scattered throughout the nation, protests and riots from those upset with those actions and arrests of officer for those actions. There have been calls to defund police, and some cities have moved on those calls and cut funding to police.
In Pendleton County, one young lady had enough of the attacks on police.
“I saw everyone putting them down and I was tired of it and wanted to do something about it,” said Emily Fultz about what motivated her to deliver pizza, goodie bags and write thank you letters to first responders throughout Pendleton County.
Appreciative of a young pair of eyes seeing what was going on and wanting to show her feelings to them, the Falmouth Police Department, Pendleton County Sheriff Office and Representative Mark Hart showered her with honors and a $50 gift card at the start of the Fiscal Court meeting on Tuesday, August 11.
