Frankfort, Kentucky (December 1, 2023) – Representative Mark Hart, R – Falmouth, met with local lawmakers and public safety officials early this week to discuss claims coming from the Falmouth mayor’s office claiming that Pendleton County drinking water is unfit for human consumption.

The inside of the Safe Haven Box is similar to a hospital bassinet in looks, but it is equipped with a laser beam that sounds a silent alarm when it is broken, and the bed covers a scale confirming the presence of an infant, as well. The box is climate-controlled.

By Carolyn Reid Easton Corbin Shepperd may have died the night he was born, but his memory was honored at the blessing of the newly-installed Safe Haven box last Thursday, November 9.  The box was brought into being after the March 1 tragedy that shook long-time first responders.

By Brenda Higgins Have you ever dreamed of meeting a Unicorn? As a little girl we dream of meeting our Prince Charming, Love, Butterflies and sometimes even Unicorns. Well part of that dream came true for some and it was as magical as dreamed and then some.
Chase is an amazing dog and we don’t know why he hasn’t been adopted. He’s super sweet and very smart. Potty trained and ready for his forever home.

Interlocal agreements and their legitimacy are part of the ongoing disagreement between the City of Falmouth and the county. KRS 62.210 - 65.300 describe interlocal agreements between cities, counties, and other entities. Interlocal agreements for planning and zoning have been in place since at least 2014; code enforcement began in 2020 with the creation of the county officer. Animal control was last agreed to in 2017. That was interrupted in 2013 by Mark Hart due to costs.
