Hart anti-vaping bill passes committee

Capitol Update   FRANKFORT  — Vaping among teens is a serious public health concern for many in Kentucky, but House Bill 142 is seeking to combat the trend. Rep. Mark Hart, R-Falmouth, is the primary sponsor of the bill.

Foster board needs volunteers

FRANKFORT — Citizen Foster Care Review Boards in 69 counties — including Pendleton — need volunteers to review the cases of local children in foster care and make recommendations, according to the Administrative Office of the Courts.

By Sam McClanahan  FALMOUTH — One of the most instrumental figures in the history of Pendleton County athletics received his long-awaited recognition on the evening of Feb. 13.

Allie had a little lamb

By Burton Cole FALMOUTH — The newborn lamb needed to be rescued — which is how the rescue dog, with six puppies of her own, became nurse and foster mother to a lamb. Now, just like in the nursery rhyme, everywhere Allie the Great Pyrenees goes, her little lamb is sure to follow.
