How is the voting in Pendleton County going?

If you are one of the 130 absentee ballots that have not been returned, they MUST be postmarked by Tuesday, November 3 and in the county clerk's office by Friday, November 6.

As of Friday afternoon, Pendleton Countians are taking advantage of the early voting and the county is approaching a 40 percent turnout of voters even with two more days of early in-person voting and Election Day itself on Tuesday, November 3.

According to officials in County Clerk Rita Spencer's office, 3,823 individuals have already voted in Pendleton County. That did not count the 15-20 that were in line when I was obtaining the information and are in the attached photo.

Of those, 2,683 have come into her office to cast their vote and be heard in this election.

Her office has received 1,140 absentee ballots with another 130 outstanding. The staff was elated with those numbers.

Those with outstanding absentee ballots MUST have them postmarked by Tuesday, November 3 and be in the county clerk's office by Friday, November 6.

There are 10,786 registered voters in Pendleton County. As of Friday afternoon, the voters turnout for the election is already at 35.4 percent and climbing.
