Leonard Frazier Cox, 86, of Orlando, Fla. passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012.

Surviving are his daughter, Linda (Armand) Dauplaise of Orlando, Fla., three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a brother, sister, sister-in-law and one brother-in-law.

 

Visitation will be held at Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 11 with a memorial service immediately following.

Edward Nussbaum, 73, Falmouth Print E-mail

Edward Albert Nussbaum, 73, of Falmouth, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Grant Manor Nursing Home in Williamstown.

Surviving are daughters, Gina Roundtree of Falmouth, and Terry Marshall of California and two grandchildren.

 

Memorial services for Edward will be private at the convenience of the family.

Patricia Lee Brooks, 67, Wilder Print E-mail

Patricia Lee Brooks, 67, of Wilder passed away on Monday, January 30, at St. Elizabeth Ft. Thomas Hospice.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Brooks.

 

Surviving are sons, Timothy and Thomas Brooks; daughter, Tracie Amato; a brother; two sisters; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 4. Interment took place at Alexandria Cemetery.

Dolores Haralson, 84, Cold Spring Print E-mail

Dolores Haralson, 84, of Cold Spring passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Thomas. Born in Cincinnati on March  1, 1927.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Katherine Dye; husband, Torry Haralson; brother, Raymond Dye and sisters, Cora Johnson, Mary Hawkins, Alma Edmonson and Frances Cruse.

 

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services were held at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler on February 6. Interment took place at Oakland Cemetery in Grants Lick. Memorials are suggested to Pendleton County Animal Shelter, 1314 Bryan Griffin Road, Butler, Ky. 41006. Online condolences at www.peoplesfuneralhomes.com.

Vernon Victor McNew, 73, of  Cold Spring passed away February 1, 2012 in Butler.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joan Elizabeth McKinney McNew.

Surviving are his brother Clyde McNew; sisters Edna Clark, Doris Meyer and Myrtle Halcomb.

Funeral services were held at Cooper Funeral Home on Saturday, February 4. Interment took place at Riverside Cemetery.

Bertha Florence, 93, Williamstown Print E-mail

Bertha Irene Florence, 93, of Williamstown, formerly of Falmouth, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence.

Born on July 14, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Lang and Hattie Florence Downard. She was a homemaker and member of the New Zion Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her children, Betty Taylor and  Bobby Florence Jr.;  grandchildren, Deanna Gail Conrad and Jeff Florence; sisters, Helen Mofford, Clara Gillespie, and Hazel Daniels, and brothers; Roy, Clyde, Jasper, Henry, Oral, Newt Downard, and Oscar Sharp.

 

Surviving are daughters, Ruby (Ronnie) Stanfield of Butler, Wanda (Ron) Burris of Florence, Sharon (Gennie) Gillespie of Falmouth, Alta (Billy) Conrad of Falmouth; grandchildren, Rick (Candi) Stanfield, Chris ( Kate) Conrad, Chasitity (Joe) Beane; great-grandson, Talen Joseph Beane; sisters-in-laws, Jeanetta Downard, and Ruby Downard; and several nieces and nephews.

 

The visitation will be from 11 p.m.- 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 31 at Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth with funeral services to follow. Bro. Rick Halcomb will be officiating.

 

Interment will take place in the Downard Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers for the service will be Ronnie Stanfield, Ron Burris, Billy Conrad, Gennie Gillespie, Rick Stanfield, and Joe Beane.

Louretta Browning, 76, Brooksville Print E-mail

Louretta Lee Sharp Browning, 76, of Brooksville died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.

She was born on September 14, 1935 to the late Gobel and Nellie Lundigan Lee.

Preceding her in death are her first husband, Albert Sharp; brothers, Marvin, George, and Charles Lee; and sister  Eva Doris Lenox.

Surviving are husband, Richard Browning; sons, Danny (Debbie) Sharp of Falmouth and Dennis (JoAngela) Sharp of Brooksville; grandchildren, Dwayne, Scott, Cara Sharp, Aaron, and Brandon Sharp, Charitie Oldendick,   and Cassi Raldolph; and nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Geneva Wys of Michigan, Dorothy Thompson, of Ft. Wright, Mary Gillespie of Falmouth, and Virginia White of Brooksville.

 

Funeral services were held Monday, January 30 at Moore and Parker Funeral Home in Brooksville.

 

Interment took place at Brooksville Cemetery.

 

Memorials may be given to Mt. Moriah Christian Church or Charity of Choice.

Joseph Caldwell, 89, Falmouth Print E-mail

Joseph E. Caldwell (89) lifelong resident of Pendleton County, passed away Monday, January 23, 2012 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood.

Surviving are son,  John L. Caldwell of Independence; daughters, Lana Jo Catlett of Crittenden, and Jackie E. Klopp of Petersburg. Funeral services were held Thursday, January 26 at the Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth.

Interment took place at Gardnersville Cemetery, Gardnersville.

Stevie Morris, 67, Butler Print E-mail

Stevie G. Morris, 67, of Butler, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. Born in Pendleton County on August 30, 1944, he was a member of the Flour Creek Christian Church, worked 30 years driving a truck for Butternut Bread, a member of the Teamsters Local Union 114, and was a Mason.

Preceding him in death were his parents, George and Julia Colvin Morris and brother, Nelson Morris.

Surviving are wife, Judy Hornbeek Morris of Butler; daughter, Stephanie Auchter of Falmouth; brother, Terry Morris of Falmouth; sisters, Georgia Redmon of Florence, Ruth Bray of Wilder, and grandchildren, Steven and Cameron Auchter.

Funeral services will be held at  11 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, Peoples Funeral Home, Butler. Interment will take place at Butler Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 11 Shelby Street, Florence, Ky 41042.
