Patricia Combs, 37 Print E-mail

Patricia Faye Combs, 37, of DeMossville passed away Sunday, March 6, 2012 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.

Surviving her are her parents, Donald and Shirley Stout, Morning View; husband, Doug Combs, DeMossville; sons, Jesse Stout and Matt Combs, Morning View; daughters, Samantha Combs, and Emily Combs, Independence; and brother, Donald Stout, Morning View.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 9, 2012 at Peoples Funeral Home, Butler.

Interment took place at the Wilmington Cemetery.

Marjorie Burlew, 87 Print E-mail

Marjorie Wanda Lee Brownfield Burlow, 87, passed away May 10, 2012, in Lexington.

Born February 1, 1925 to the late Ralph and Farris Craig Browfield. She attended Butler High School and retired from Stewart Dry Goods Company, having worked at the stores in Louisville and Lexington. Mrs. Burlew's family was her life and she attended countless baseball, basketball, football, soccer games, band competitions, school plays, graduations and other events in which her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren participated.

Surviving her are children, Connie Sutton, Georgetown, Terry (Molly) Burlew, Lexington, Audrey (Warren) Griggs, Trapp, Ky., Brad (Brenda) Burlew, West Chester, Ohio, Barry (Janet) Burlew, Lexington; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A private grave side service will be held at the Butler Cemetery, Butler under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of the Bluegrass for their kind and compassionate care.

David Grant Simpson, 52, of Covington passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at his home.

Born in Cincinnati on April 12, 1960. He enjoyed cat fishing and listening to music.

Preceding him in death were parents, Carl and Wanda Roark Simpson; sisters, Mary Hughes and Wanda Laytart.

Surviving are wife, Alice Brown, Covington; son, Robert Simpson, Edmonton; daughter, Samantha Simpson, Edmonton; brothers, Edward Simpson, Falmouth, Carl Simpson, Dry Ridge, Paul Hughes, Cincinnati, Chuck Hughes, New Jersey; sister, Loretta Cordrey, Alexandria; grandchildren, Xander, Xavier, Kying and Keirstyn Simpson.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Peoples Funeral Home, Butler.

Troy Gregg, 41 Print E-mail

Troy Lee Gregg, 41, of Berry, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the University Hospital in Cincinnati.

Born on January 21, 1971, to Terry and Carol Gregg. On August 2, 1997 he married Jackie Baur Gregg, who survives his passing. Troy was a member of the New Hope Church of Christ, attended the Turner Ridge Baptist Church, was a coach for the SWOL Rampage Youth Baseball team, was an avid hunter and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are his grandmother, Judy Gregg; children, Brandon Waechtler, Desiree Richardson and Zechariah Gregg;  grandchildren, Gabriel Abram-Marshall and Lily Paige Waechtler; sister, Tanya Bates; nephews, Jacob and Joseph Bates; and niece, Marissa Taylor.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth with Roger Anderson officiating.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Zechariah Gregg fund at any US Bank.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 3 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home.

Interment took place at the New Vine Run Cemetery, Dry Ridge.

Adam Harley Bruin, 19, of Falmouth passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at his home.

Adam was born in Campbell County on February 15, 1993, to Michael Bruin and Laureen Gillispie Bruin. Adam worked as an equipment operator.

Surviving him in addition to his parents, are brothers, Kevin Bruin and Brad Mastin, both of Falmouth; sisters, Mychelle McElfresh and Serena Bruin, both of Falmouth.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 with funeral services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 2 at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth with Bro. Joe Hall officiating.

Interment will take place in the Riverside Cemetery in Falmouth.

Ronald Adams, 45 Print E-mail

Ronald Dean Adams, 45, passed away April 24, 2012, at University of Cincinnati Hospital.

Ronald, (Ron), known by most, was extremely loved by his family and friends. His magnetic personality was a pleasure and joy to be around. He was a comic/ practical joker which always had and provided a great smile and laugh and was often requested to perform his famous “Donald Duck” impersonation. Ron loved the great outdoors which included camping and his favorite past time was “fishing”and  always had great generosity and a big heart which he demonstrated by a willingness to help anyone if he could. He provided many great memories for anyone who was blessed to know him.  Ronald was a beloved son, father, brother and friend. All who were graced with knowing him will forever miss him deeply.

Preceding him in death were  father, Dawson Dean Adams, Williamstown; brothers, Henry and Gary Fennel and David Adams.

Surviving are mother, Margarette Melissa Greene, Jesup, Ga.; son, Donavan Adams; daughter, Kasi Adams; brothers, Darriel Adams and Larry Fennell; sisters, Sue Tipton, Kathy Tipton and Melissa Bruin; several nephews and nieces; and many friends.

A gathering for his family and friends will be announced at a later time.
