7-9 p.m. 30 Hidden Hollow, Falmouth. Holiday Lights and Miniature Village Display at BlackSheep Farmstead. 60,000 lights spread across several acres and miniature village, free cookies and hot cocoa, photo ops, farm animals, and more. Also occurs Saturday, December 9, December 16, and December 23.

Saturday, December 9, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Country Patchwork/Tone and Tan lobby, 1908 W. Shelby, Falmouth. Kids Who-Ville Workshop. Talented local artists will be set up in the lobby to display and sell their handmade crafts. Bring the little ones to shop, play games, and have fun! Games and prizes, picture with the Grinch, gift wrapping, popcorn, candy.

Flour Creek Christian Church to hold holiday open house

Flour Creek Christian Church presents its holiday open house Saturday, December 16, from 5-7 p.m. The church will serve a free traditional holiday dinner with all the trimmings, and all children 12 and under in attendance will receive a gift from under the tree. 

The event will be located at 1190 HWY 177 E, Butler, in the Flour Creek Community Center. For more information, call 859-620-1215.

City of Butler announces  annual toy drive

The City of Butler will be accepting names of children ages newborn to 12 years for our Annual Christmas Toy Drive. Families must live within a five mile radius of Butler. You can turn names in at the Butler City Municipal Building Monday thru Friday. 8 a.m. to noon, till Monday, December 11.

Kirsch Family Live Nativity hosts its 31st annual event

The Kirsch Family Live Nativity is holding its 31st annual live nativity from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. December 15, 16, and 17. As usual, the farm will hold a light display, animals, a representation of the Nativity, and sweet treats.

Retired teachers announce December meeting

PC Retired Teachers' December meeting will be held in the Trinity Baptist Church's Fellowship Hall at 11 a.m. December 15. The meal will be catered, and the cost is $10. Bring a $5 gift for a fun game. The meeting will include information, fellowship, and entertainment. All retired teachers are invited.

WoodmenLife will hold annual Christmas party

WoodmenLife's annual Christmas Party will be held Thursday, December 14, at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion. This is a potluck, so bring something yummy to add to the meal. Meat and drinks will be provided. We will have games, lots of prizes, and treats. Santa will be there for pictures. All WoodmenLife members and their families are invited.

The Safe Haven Baby Box is located at ambulance headquarters at 332 HWY 330W, Falmouth. The box is available for any parent in crisis who needs to give up his/her/their baby, but does not know where to turn. The box holds babies up to approximately one month old, and it is available and monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Parents who drop off infants will remain anonymous and will not face prosecution. They are giving their child a chance they may not be able to give on their own.

Parents in crisis may also call 1-800-99BABY1 (1-800-992-2291) any time, 24/7, for assistance.

New Life Wesleyan Church, 420 Monument Street, Falmouth, serves a free breakfast each Sunday morning from 8:15-9:45 a.m.

Free day at Rumpke Landfill takes place the second Saturday of each month 7-11 a.m.

Commodities distributed the second Monday of the month at 200 West Shelby Street, Falmouth from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. These commodities are different than other food distributions held in the county, and you may participate if you are involved with other distributions in the county. Please bring your own bags or boxes.

PC Mobile Food Pantry’s Food for Friends. Third Thursday from 2-4 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Parish Hall, Bring ID identifying your residence in the county.

Pendleton County Historical and Genealogical Society meets every third Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Historical Society, the Fryer House, in Butler.

Every Monday and Tuesday, hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Each Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., Bible study and supper. (Study begins at 7 p.m.) 

Second and fourth Wednesday of each month starting at approximately 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until produce is gone.) This distribution focuses on fresh produce AND MORE. Food pantry and clothes shopping available.

Every Thursday by appointment.
