She was born in Harrison County on February 3, 1927 to the late Oscar and Massie Wagner Jones, married Raymond King Jr., on July 7, 1944, was a homemaker, farmer and a member of Oakland Christian Church, Falmouth.
Preceding her in death, in addition to parents and husband of 58 years, were sister, Lucille Simpson and brothers, Raymond Jones and Oscar Jones Jr.
Surviving are children, Janice (Henry) Bertram, Falmouth, and Larry (Sandy) King, Omaha, Neb.; grandchildren, Jeffrey Allen Page, Shelley Raye (Brian) Ellis and Stacey Renee King; great-grandchildren, Kayla Ellis, Kaylee Bishop, Chase Steimer and Caleb Steimer and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Bro. Gary Figgins and Bro. Jim Flaugher officiating. Special music was shared by Tim and Michael Cummins. Pallbearers were Donnie Bowls, Joey King, Larry Bowling, Rick King, Chad Bowling and Lance Bowling. Honorary pallbearers were Melvin Ramsey, Beryl Mattox, Marvin Sullivan and Gerald Fields.
Interment took place at the Oakland Cemetery, Falmouth.
