Edna Banfield, 71 Print E-mail

Edna Florence Glasscock Banfield, 71, of Berry, passed away  Friday, January 18, 2013, at the Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana.

She was born in Bourbon County, on May 6, 1941, to the late Jessie Wagner Glasscock and Essie Jane Bruin and she married Ronald Thomas Banfield on June 6, 1959 and her dear husband survives her passing. She was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family, a member of the Sunrise Christian Church, Harrison County and a member of the Sunrise Homemakers.

Preceding her, in addition to her parents, was sister, Sally Glasscock Fitzgerald.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of 53 years, Ronald Thomas Banfield, are sons, David Banfield, N.Y., Jeff (Kathy) Banfield, Falmouth, Joe (Linda) Banfield, Berry; daughter, Barbie (Dave) Lemming, DeMossville; sisters, Dorothy Glasscock Tussey,  Carlisle, Gracie Glasscock Malone,  Sunrise; brother, Robert Glasscock of Cynthiana; grandchildren, Sarah (Jonathan) Hughes, Timmy Lemming, Bethany Lemming, Luke Banfield, Elizabeth Banfield, Joseph Banfield; great-grandchildren, Destiny, Sintara, Preston Hughes; and special friends, Harold and Delores Adams.

Funeral services were held  on Monday, January 21, 2013, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Berry,  with Bro. Clifford Neat officiating.

Pallbearers were Timmy Lemming, Luke Banfield, Joseph Banfield, Dwight Watson, Jonathan Hughes, and Mike Lemming.   The honorary pallbearers were Greg Banfield, Robert Dennis, and Willard Williams.

Interment took place at the Pythian Grove Cemetery, Berry.

Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 U.S. Highway 62E, Cynthiana, KY 41031.
