As the calendar turns over to August the dog days of summer begin to give way to the start of fall sports season for high schools all across the country.

Over the past few weeks the Pendleton County Wildcats soccer team has been completing its pre-season schedule, earning a silver medal in Bluegrass Games and taking on last year's state runner-up Ryle this past weekend at Soccerama.

Head coach Lisa Feltner comes into her fourth season with high hopes for the club. She leads a total of 41 players between freshman, junior varsity and varsity ranks and is optimistic that the 'Cats can compete for a district and regional title.
