A conversation with the new mayor

By Carolyn Reid A unanimous vote at the January 9 special-called meeting placed Councilperson Luke Price as interim mayor of Falmouth. He replaces Sebastian Ernst who was impeached during a Jan. 2 hearing.
Luke Morgan, an attorney who has been active for more than 35 years, presents the evidence and his legal opinions to Falmouth City Council during the hearing surrounding the impeachment of Mayor Sebastian Ernst. Robert McGinnis, left at the bench, served as presiding officer and mediator of the proceedings. McGinnis is a retired circuit judge for the county, and he served in the same role for the impeachment hearing of former Mayor Elonda Hinson in 2017.

The Falmouth Outlook gets a new staff member

By Burton W. Cole I've stumbled into a reflective mood since my sweet wife passed away six months ago. I thought life was all about Coca-Cola and peanut butter-frosted brownies, but now, without Terry, I'm not so sure.
Dave Klaber, former Falmouth Fire Chief, takes the oath of office after his appointment to Falmouth City Council. Klaber, who was recently terminated by Mayor Sebastian Ernst for reasons the Falmouth Outlook cannot confirm, was chosen from a pool of five applicants for the position. Klaber was on council from January 2019 through December 2020, when he left to take the position of fire chief.
