25 Years Ago - Jan/Feb, 1996     New SuperAmerica convenience and gas station will be open 24 hours. Manager Brenda Phillips says they are glad to be open and in their new store. The new building replaces the older smaller building.

25 Years Ago - January, 1996     Marble shootings lead to arrest of Cynthiana man, Edward Walker, 40, and a Somerset man, Robert Wright, Jr., 28.  Numerous businesses and residents along U.S. 27 in Falmouth and Pendleton County also sustained marble damage. No one was injured in Pendleton County.

EASY TO VOTE & HARD TO CHEAT BILL PASSES HOUSE 93 to 4

Frankfort, Ky. (February 26, 2021) – Secretary of State Michael Adams praised the Kentucky House for passing by a 93-4 vote House Bill 574, Kentucky’s most significant election reform legislation since 1992. No member spoke against the legislation, which now heads to the Senate for consideration.

25 Years Ago - December 26, 1995     Three Falmouth fireman announced their retirement from the department after many years of service. Falmouth Fire Chief Keevil Hart presented the three men with plaques.

25 Years Ago - December 12, 1995     New ambulance headquarters finished. Construction of the new headquarters on West Shelby has been completed and everything moved into the building.
