Pendleton Wildcats prepare for 38th District

As the Cats enter the last week of the regular season, they know they face Nicholas County  at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21 in Carlisle in the first round of 38th District play.

But there are still questions for coach Aaron Biddle will be looking to finalize over the next eight days as they look to rebound after tough losses this rain-filled week that limited the games and practices that could be played. Last Thursday night saw the Cats drop an 8-1 loss to Mason County and a tough DH sweep to Lewis County. A 5-4 walk off victory for Lewis County and a 10-7 battle that Lewis pulled out.

Tennis teams perform well in Regional Tournament

Ladycats earn two more wins, improve to 6-8

By claiming two more victories last week, the Pendleton County Ladycats softball team has secured its winningest season since 2007, and improving to 6-8 overall.

Head coach Steven Peed is optimistic about his club's play as the regular season begins to wind down.

Wildcats on six-game winning streak

On April 25th, the Cats stood at 5-17 after a heartbreaking loss at Bracken County.

Coach Aaron Biddle though saw improvement and knew that if his team kept keeping the faith, working hard and focusing on improvement, that things would turn around.

Ladycats earn one victory in three tries

The Pendleton County Ladycats softball team notched its fourth win of the season last week over Williamstown, but also lost both games of a doubleheader at home to Nicholas County.

Head Coach Steven Peed says he is seeing improvement in his club, but errors being made on defense need to be cleaned up before heading into district play.
