Animal shelter meeting at library Print E-mail

Volunteers for the Pendleton County Animal Shelter will be holding a meeting from noon - 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 at the Pendleton County Library, located at 801 Robbins Avenue, Falmouth. The purpose of the meeting is to share information and opportunities with people who may be interested in helping out at the shelter. All areas of volunteering will be discussed, both at the shelter as well as outside of the shelter. These include transporting dogs, overnighting them, short term fostering, and the many activities and everyday duties at the shelter. If you are an animal lover or would just like to volunteer some time to help improve the quality of life at the shelter, please be sure to attend this meeting.

Senior Citizens of Pendleton County, some exciting activities are coming up this week at the Falmouth Senior Activity Center, located at 1111 Chipman Street, Falmouth, Ky.

Following are a few dates to remember:

• April 10: The center will be holding a euchre tournament. It begins at 9:45 am. Call the senior center and register to play. It will be a lot of fun.

• April 11: 10 a.m. is Nutrition Education with Kenna Knight. You must attend this class in order to be considered for the voucher program in May.

C’mon out, you will have a great time!

Don’t forget, the center has exercise equipment available for the community, Wii bowling, Wii fitness, van services for doctor appointments and several other amenities!
