She was born in Pendleton County on April 4, 1920 to the late Robert Lee and Sarah Ravenscraft McNees, was a homemaker, a former sales clerk for the McAlpin Co. of Cincinnati, a member and deacon of the Madison Avenue Christian Church, Covington and enjoyed making pot roast dinners for family and friends.
Preceding her in death, in addition to parents, were husband, Richard S. Chapman; daughter, Joyce Chapman Hatfield; sons, Allen Richard Chapman and Dennis Lee Chapman; brothers, William Stanley McNees, Andrew Jackson McNees, John McNees and Charles McNees; and sisters, Minnie Payne, Margaret LaFollette, Ann Gifford and Blanche Parsons.
Surviving are daughter-in-law, Janet Enscoe Chapman, Florence; sister, Mabel Holmes, Ft. Thomas; grandchildren, Jeffery (Annette) Hatfield, Edgewood and Jamie (Lisa) Hatfield, Erlanger; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the Allison & Rose Funeral Home, Covington.
Interment took place at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill.
