Free airplane rides for kids! Print E-mail

There will be free airplane rides for kids from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 19 at Gene Snyder Airport in Pendleton County.

Rides are available to kids aged 8-17, and last about 15 minutes. Registration form must be signed in advance or at event by a parent or legal guardian. Riders receive a certificate and log book. The plan is to give rides to at least the first 100 kids registered, so please arrive early.

Rides are given by FAA certified pilots, using aircraft that have been thoroughly inspected by an FAA certified mechanic during the past year.

This event is a Young Eagles Rally, where area pilots donate their time and aircraft to introduce kids to aviation. Young Eagles is a program of the Experimental Aircraft Association (eaa.org). See youngeagles.org for more information.
