Mike Fisher, 65 Print E-mail

Mike Fisher, 65, of Falmouth, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013, at the Veterans Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio after a brief battle with ALS. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on May 14, 1948, son of the late C.W. and Mary Lou Brann Fisher.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by grandparents J.A. and Rosamond Fisher and Howard and Edith Brann.

Upon graduation from high school Mike entered the U.S. Marine Corp serving in Vietnam. After returning to Falmouth he joined his dad and late uncle Keith Fisher at Fisher Chevrolet, the family car dealership that was started by his grandfather the late J.A. Fisher. Mike always had a passion for the car business during his lifetime. In more recent years he was the manager of the Circle K Store in Alexandria until his retirement in May of 2013.

Mike was very active in the Jaycees on the local, state and national level and served the organization as state president in 1980 and served as national vice president in 1981. He served on the Falmouth City Council for many years in the late 70s and early 80s. In addition Mike was also a member of the American Legion Hardin Browning Post 109, Masonic Lodge, and the Falmouth Christian Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Emily (Greg) Greene of Taylor Mill; son, Nick (Jamie) Fisher of Bellevue; brother, John (Becky) Fisher of Florence; sister, Elizabeth Fisher Chapman of Alexandria and grandchildren, Jack, Sam and Eva Greene.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the Peoples Funeral Home in Butler.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2013 also at the funeral home.

Final resting place will be at the Veterans Cemetery in Williamstown.
