Butler Sewer Project put on hold

Butler Mayor Alice Smith announced at the August 5 council meeting that the Butler Sewer Project has been put on hold because of broken sewer lines. According to the mayor, three sewer lines are broken with some of the sewage going into the storm drains. This puts the sewer project on hold until she is able to meet with Judge/Executive Henry Bertram, an engineer, Pendleton County Community Development Specialist Bill Mitchell, and Butler city workers.
