|Court of Honor Ceremony to be held for David Huck ~ June 14|
David Huck, 18, will be honored at a special Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony at 6 p.m., Friday, June 14, at New Hope Church of Christ. The public is invited to attend.
David joined Boy Scouts while in fourth grade and immediately aspired to become an Eagle Scout. It is an accomplishment that only 2% of boy scouts attain. To achieve scouting’s highest award, David earned 58 merit badges, served as a leader in his troop, and completed a major community service project. David served his troop as a patrol leader, chaplain, quartermaster, instructor, and senior patrol leader. He has put considerable effort into teaching younger scouts how to achieve rank and merit badges, and will now continue in Troop 806 as an adult leader.
David is a senior at Pendleton County High School where he is a captain on the football team and serves as the executive officer of the NJROTC program. He is involved in many community activities including the Kincaid Longspurs where he serves on the scholarship committee. David plans to study mining engineering at the University of Cincinnati.
