It's not too late to get your flu shot, and getting it could not only help yourself and your family but your neighbors too. It's not too late to get your flu shot, even though the flu has hit earlier and more broadly than usual, experts say. It generally takes about two weeks for a flu vaccine to be most effective, said Dr. Tom Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
