Ada Moore, 88 Print E-mail

Ada Lewis Moore, 88, of Lake Placid, Fla., formerly of Falmouth, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Hospice in Sebring, Fla.

She was born on November 18, 1924 in Pendleton County,  to the late James and Belva Lee Lovelace Sorrell. She was a member of the Falmouth Baptist Church, Woodmen of the World, and a self-employed restaurant owner.

Preceding her in death were two husbands, Billy Clark Lewis and Victor Moore; and eight brothers and sisters.

Surviving are children, Phyllis K. Jones, Sherry (Charles) Meridth, both of Lake Placid, Fla., Diana Marshall, Falmouth, Philip (Donna) Lewis, LaBelle, Fla.; two  step-children, Gary Moore , Florence, Karl Glen Moore, Crittenden; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, November 27. 2012, at Woodhead Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Falmouth Baptist Church with Bro. Cohen Copley and Bro. George Naylor officiating.

Pallbearers for the service will be Phil Lewis, Charles Meridth, David Marshall, Jeff Delaney, Gary Moore and Craig Ryan and honorary pallbearers will be Karl Glen Moore and Jim Godman.

Interment will immediately follow funeral service at Riverside Cemetery.
