Ladycats golf with same goals

With the loss of three seniors that hold numerous team records and have been a part of much of the Ladycats success over the past seven years as well as head coach Keith Smith who moved up to the Pendleton district athletic administrator position, you would think that the Ladycat golf program would take a step back.

But with two players who have played in the state tournament, Senior Maggie Miles and Junior Ariel Ramsey, as well as a group of young golfers who are ready for their opportunity, new head coach Keaton Belcher is not changing the focus of the team in the least.

“Expectations this year are not any different than previous years.  We want to qualify for the state tournament as a team.  Luckily, we have several golfers that have been in the LadyCat progam for a while now so we do have some experience returning.  We will use our experience and talented players to work each day to obtain our goal,” coach Belcher pointed out.
