Patricia Upthegrove, 79 Print E-mail

Patricia Ann Upthegrove, 79, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Friday, March 23, 2012 at the University Hospital in Cincinnati, due to a lengthy illness.

Born on July 28, 1932 in Latonia, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Louise Newby Lynch. She worked for 32 years as a medical assistant/office manager for Dr. Fragge, Dr. Putnam, Dr. Schworer, and Dr. Villareal in Covington. She was a member of the St. Mary of the assumption Parish in Alexandria and loved playing Bingo, watching sports, going to church, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by a daughter; Kim Upthegrove  Hellings in October 2001.

Survivors include her husband; George Thomas Delaney of Alexandria; sons, Troy (Tate) Upthegrove Jr., Memphis, Tenn., Mark (fiance Eileen O'Keefe) Delaney, Fishers, Ind., Jeff (Sandra) Delaney, Hamilton, Ohio;  daughters, Tina Delaney Ruffin, Independence, Terri Delaney, Seven Fields, Penn., Tara Upthegrove (Jerry) Orth of Alexandria,  Kathy Delaney Jones of Independence, Tammy Upthegrove (Jay) Schweitzer of Cynthiana;  sister,  Ruth Ann (Joseph) Runion,  Florence, 23 grandchildren, and 10 great- grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Alexandria with Father James Egbers officiating.

A visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. March 31 at the church. A reception will follow the mass in the Undercroft of the church.

Interment will take place at 3 p.m. in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Falmouth.

Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth is serving the family.
