25 Years Ago - November 4, 1997 A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Nov. 1 for the new Butler Municipal Building on Taylor street. The fire department and police will be located in the building.

25 Years ago June 1996     Kincaid Bassmaster’s 10th Annual Kid’s Fishing Tournament draws 214 children. Josh Whaley was awarded the trohy for biggest fish with a catfish weighing in at 1.28 pounds.     Louise Pettit now has the farmer’s market open at the Korn Store in Butler seven days a week.
