The Pendleton County Ladycats hosted Mason County on December 12.  The Ladycats won this game by a score of 49 – 35 to improve to 6-0.  This is Pendleton County's first victory over the Lady Royals since Feb 4, 2012.

During the first quarter, Senior Saniah Thomas became the ninth Ladycat to reach 1000 points for her career, as she hit her first field goal of the game off an assist from Senior Cara Stewart.  Saniah Thomas recorded her sixth straight double double with 24 points and 15 rebounds.  Cara Stewart had nine points and 10 rebounds.  Freshman Lilly Aschraft had six points and two rebounds.  Senior Skylar Ashcraft had four points and two rebounds.  Senior Savannah Shimkowiak had four points.

The Ladycats would drop their first game of the season on December 16 at home against St. Henry.  The score was 45-40.  Pendleton County would drop their second game in a row in a very physical contest on the road at Scott on December 17, with a score of 65-57.

The Pendleton County Ladycats record is now 6 – 2,  still one of the team's best starts to a season in many years.  Coach Kelsch says “It’s a marathon not a sprint”.

The Ladycats will look to bounce back on December 19 with a triple header at Bracken County.  The freshman play at 5, followed by the JV and then the Varsity at 7:30pm.  The Ladycats will get some much needed rest after this game and resume again on December 28 at the Smoky Mountain Christmas Classic.
