Ladycats Crush Robertson County on Alumni Night

  The Pendleton County Ladycats moved to 11-4 after opening up district play with a blowout win over the Robertson County Lady Devils. The Ladycats got off to a quick start by scoring 19 points in the first quarter, including a big three pointer by freshman Lilly Ashcraft. Pendleton County continued the onslaught in the second quarter to take a 32-6 lead going into halftime and cruised to a 47-15 victory. Cara Stewart had 10 points and eight rebounds. Lilly Ashcraft had nine points and six steals and Saniah Thomas added eight points, six steals and five rebounds.

  The Ladycats continue to have several players listed among the regional leaders in stats.  Seniors Saniah Thomas, Cara Stewart, Skylar Ashcraft along with freshman Lilly Ashcraft appear in several categories, including points per game, rebounds, steals, blocks and field goal percentage. This week, the Ladycats will travel to take on Paris on Jan. 18 followed by a Jan. 20 district matchup at Nicholas County. The team will end the week with a Jan. 21 home game versus St. Patrick.
