Ladycat soccer had three games last week. They played Saturday, September 10 at home against Ludlow. This game would be all about the Ladycats. They controlled the game from start to finish coming away with a good win. Junior Cailyn Harper had two goals with one assist; sophomore Addison Wright had one goal, and senior Goalie Elissa Blackaby had 12 saves. This is her fourth shut-out of the season so far. The defensive players are working and improving their skills with each game.
The Ladycats would play Monday, September 12, at home against Fleming County. This was a hard team for our girls to face, but they seemed prepared for this game. It was a very defensive game and even though our Ladycats would not come away with the win, losing 3-2;  this game showed a lot of growth in the team. The Ladycats were in the game the entire time and even led for awhile, making Fleming County work hard for the win. Junior Annie Eaton played a strong defensive game. Sophomore Sophia Miracle, also known as “Bitty”, really stepped up her game and showed her strength in the defensive area. Junior Ava Record and sophomore Logan Cooper each had one goal both assisted by junior Cailyn Harper. Cailyn and junior Jaelyn Caudill played a great game for the Ladycats. Senior Goalie Elissa Blackaby had 16 saves and only allowed three goals.
The Ladycats were on the road Wednesday, September 14 to Mason County, losing with a score of  2-0. Senior Goalie Elissa Blackaby had seven saves.
The Ladycats play again on Monday, September 19, at home against Bourbon County at 7:30 p.m. and follow with an away match-up against Villa Madonna on Wednesday, September 21 at 5 p.m.
