Covid-19 has made its imprint on attending high school athletics as Pendleton County Athletic Department released guidelines that will be put in place for fans.
Fan attendance and capacity will be limited to two tickets per participant for home and visiting teams with no general admission tickets sold. Participants will be provided ticket vouchers prior to the contest for distribution to families. These vouchers must be presented to purchase a ticket.
All fans must comply with temperature checks, health screenings and providing contact information for contact tracing.
Fans arriving in the same vehicle or in the same family unit may sit together. Social distancing of six feet or more must be observed for all others.
Masks must be worn at all times.
Concession stands will have a limited menu.
Sanitizing stations will be available throughout all venues.
Indoor venues hosting more than one contest on the same date will be vacated between contests for cleaning and sanitation. The original ticket stub will be required for re-entry.
“We want to thank fans, volunteer workers, coaches, student athletes, and all others involved for making the first week of fall sports 2020 run smoothly,” said Athletic Director Jordan Woodruff.
