Burrow breaks rookie record in first Bengals victory

The Cincinnati Bengals are in the win column for the first time this season as they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 33-25 at Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday.
 

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow set a rookie record for 300 passing yards in three straight games. He was 25 for 36 passing for 300 yards and one touchdown pass to Joe Mixon.
 

Mixon also had two rushing touchdowns as he rushed for 151 yards and 30 yards receiving. He is the first Bengal to have two rushing touchdowns a receiving touchdown since 2001 when Corey Dillon last accomplished the feat.
 

The Bengals were down 13-10 at halftime to the Jaguars, but they scored 17 unanswered points in the third quarter and held on at the end for the eight-point victory.
 

Tyler Boyd also had 90 yards receiving and Tee Higgins caught four balls for 77 yards. Kicker Ryan Bullock made all four of his field goals, including a 46 yarder.
 

The Bengals defense held strong too. Jordan Evans intercepted and sacked Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew. The Bengals recorded three sacks in the game.
 

Minshew finished the game 27 for 40 passing, 351 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. DJ Chark Jr. caught both of the touchdowns and had 95 yards receiving.
 

The 1-2-1 Bengals next travel to Baltimore for an AFC North matchup against the 3-1 Ravens this Sunday at 1:00pm. The Ravens are an early two touchdown favorite.
