Time to rewire student and staff brains

I don’t think anyone imagined this year being the way it is right now, especially not me with it being my senior year. However, the teachers and staff at school are doing their best to make it feel somewhat normal. All of us, teachers, students, administrators, cafeteria ladies, even Kevin and the other janitorial staff, are having to rewire our brains and reconfigure our days.
I am a B day student, so I go on Thursdays and Fridays. Officially, I do not have class until fourth period because of my college classes resulting in academic labs. My first day involved a lot of library sitting and working on homework. The second day I was able to go to Mrs. Julie Hart’s room and do work for the offices I hold in both of the clubs she advises. I am the Attendance Director for Student Council and the class of 2021 Senior Council Secretary.
My one high school class has been fun so far; it is a Microsoft Office Certification class. This week Mrs. Hoehn gave us time to catch up on any missing work if we had any and then we went to lunch. Lunch is monumentally different; we have assigned seats, and I sit by basically two other people.
My fifth period class is a freshman math class that I have the privilege of peer tutoring. Mrs. Yelton did the typical first day things and went over her class expectations and emergency procedures for her classroom. I was able to help a few students with their class work, it took some digging to get my brain back to freshman year math but I hope it’s a good refresher throughout the year.
Sixth period rolled around after what felt like ages, I have Mrs. Yelton again, but this time for College Statistics and Algebra, a Gateway dual-credit class. As far as I know that class is only one other person and me along with Mrs. Yelton. On Thursday, it was just Mrs. Yelton and me, so I got a lot of one on one help on my math homework that day.
My final class of the day is English 101, another Gateway dual-credit class, with Mrs. Bowen. Luckily there are more people in this class than my math class. This past week we learned more about plagiarism and picked essay topics for a research essay due in about a month or so
