On Tuesday afternoon, April 13, clubs from PCHS participated in Sticker Shock, an event ongoing since 2010.
Local businesses allow PCHS students to come in and place stickers on items to deter underage drinking and drug use.
Kaitlyn Stahl, the Project Director of Champions for a Drug Free Pendleton County and sponsor for Adolescents Take Action (ATA), coordinates with local businesses to make the event possible. The local sheriff, Eddie Quinn, also attended to show his support of this event.
Pendleton County High School Student Council works in cooperation with Champions.
Students visited both Wyatt’s and BB’s Falmouth location and stuck stickers on milk products.
Both organizations, Champions and Student Council, would like to thank the establishments for allowing them work there.
At a later date, Stahl hopes to reach CVS, Wells Discount Gas, and the Butler Market.
