India Trimble signs with Missouri Valley, a college she approached in order to continue her cheerleading career.

Pendleton County senior Kennadi Mayer became the fourth person from the PCHS Archery program to receive a collegiate offer. She’ll be attending Kentucky Christian University located on Grayson this fall.
Mayer signed her letter of intent on March 28 and was surrounded by family, friends, teammates, and coaches who have all played a role in helping her reach her goals. A talented tri-athlete at PCHS, she has also competed for the Ladycats basketball and volleyball programs, but says archery has always had a special place on her heart.
“For me, archery has been kind of an escape. It’s much more slower-paced than the other sports I’ve been apart of and it’s always allowed me to relax, focus and find balance,” she explained.
Over the years, Mayer’s busy schedule has seen her work like a magician in maintaining balance. Volleyball season starts each fall and it quickly transitions into her winter time
“This is all really, really great. Five-year-old me would be screaming,” she admits with a laugh.
Trimble got involved in rec cheer as a young girl and stuck with it for several years before taking a break.
“It’s definitely been a lot of hard work and I want to thank all of my coaches, my parents and brother for always supporting me. They’ve always been there and done so much, it’s really hard to even put into words. I also want to thank God for always keeping me safe during everything that I’ve competed in.”
Missouri Valley College is an NAIA institution located in Marshall, Missouri. It’s competition cheer program has earned numerous honors over the past two decades including being crowned the NAIA National Cheer Champions in 2018. Trimble will compete in both UCA and NAIA-level competition.
India is the daughter of Dave and Holly Trimble of Falmouth.
