On March 20, the Pendleton County tennis team traveled to Paris to take on the Colonels of Bourbon County. On the girl’s side of things, the Ladycats emerged victorious, defeating the Lady Colonels four matches to one. Katelin Aulick and Lily Brinkdoepke won their doubles match 6-4, 6-3.  Emmie Dunn and Emma Gillespie both notched singles wins, 8-6 and 8-4 respectively.  Morgan Hart and Lexie Teegarden followed that up, winning their doubles match 8-3. The boys weren’t as fortunate, losing all five of their matches to the Colonels.

On March 23, the team traveled to Brooksville to take on the Polar Bears. The Ladycats were dominant in singles play as seniors Maddie Duff, Emmie Dunn and Emma Gillespie were all victorious in singles play.  In doubles play, Morgan Hart and Lexie Teegarden claimed an 8-6 win while Alana Vickerstaff and Chloe Holbrook lost their match 8-2. On the boys side, the Polar Bears got the better of the Wildcats 4-1. Ethan Aulick was the lone winner, winning his singles match 8-6.

On March 25, the Ladycats traveled to GRC to take on the Lady Cardinals, with winds exceeding 35 miles an hour. They would go on to lose 4-1. Maddie Duff won her match in two sets, 6-2, 6-2. Katelin Aulick & Lily Brinkdopeke fell in straight sets 6-0, 6-4.  Morgan Hart and Lexie Teegarden went to a third set super tie-breaker but fell just short of victory in a match that went over two hours.

The tennis team has three scheduled home matchups this week, beginning with a March 27 showdown against Calvary Christian followed by a March 28 match with Scott High. They conclude the week with a matchup against Harrison County.
