Dear Editor
I would like to respond to a letter in the Democrat edition of 3/25/2021. The article in question stated “increasing voter turnout is the Issue . . .”
I perceive the essence of this letter is to question the integrity of my good friend State Representative Mark Hart.  I have known Mark for some time and in my world he is a righteous and consentaneous individual. What Mark does or does not do is always accomplished with his constituents in mind.
The author alleges there is no reason to assume there  is any voter irregularities (fraud) in Kentucky or the country.
Let me suggest in the 2019 state election in my mind, something unusual occurred.
The Governor elected was a liberal and all other
offices were won by conservatives.  Unusual I would suggest?  How did the liberal governor get elected by a very slim margin of 0.37 %?  Could it be because the liberal gubernatorial candidate was supported by the abortion lobby, a group that would no doubt do anything to get the pro-abortion candidate elected
As to the implication  that Representative Hart should do something to increase voter participation ---I do not believe that task is in his job description!!! Perhaps the author of the letter  should promote voter participation in some manner other  than pontificating in a letter-to-the-editor.
In my world I will not promote increased voter participation unless voters educate themselves concerning the issues.
