The impeachment crusade needs to stop

This country entered a dangerous zone four years ago and it has only gotten worse. Impeachment is not a way to respond to an election you lost or a politician that you disagree with their stances or as a person.
Right before I retired from education and through the first year, we had the impeachment of a Falmouth mayor, a duly elected mayor by the voters of Falmouth. There were disagreements of her management style, and she was impeached and removed from office. We had no clue what that was a harbinger for.
Just days, maybe hours, after President Donald Trump was elected to office, Democrats were already talking impeachment. He had NOT EVEN TAKEN OFFICE and they were wanting to impeach him.
Of course, they eventually did--twice--and it ramped up as an obvious partisian, political move. We still have a mockery of a second trial to remove from office a President that has already left office. It’s fitting as the first talk of impeaching him was before he took office, so of course it makes sense to have a trial of impeachment after he has left office.
You don’t like how Andy Beshear is handling the pandemic? Well, four Kentuckians decided since they could not beat him in the previous election, we need to IMPEACH HIM!.
The Kentucky House of Representatives is constitutionally faced with having to deal with this when they need to be focused on the budget and the financial strains this state is under.
Hopefully, it will get the attention it deserves and the four petitioners will have to bear the burden of the cost of the House considering it.
Not to be outdone, a state representative who is  facing legal charges and a member of the opposite party of the governor had impeachment petition filed on him.
Well, the national Republicans could not just stand by and let impeachment articles lie dormant in this new Presidency of Joe Biden. It had been a whole day and no one was impeached.
Representtive Marjorie Green from Georgia (oh, the irony there) has ridiculously filed articles of impeachment on Joe Biden.
I finished this plea on Friday morning and, lo and behold, a new impeachment petition was looming on Friday, this one by some upset with Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron’s handling of the Breonna Taylor case.
Can someone please stop this ride of political insanity? You lose an election; how about winning the next one instead removing a duly elected representative of the voters.
I have a real problem with politicians overriding the will of the voters. I may disagree with the will of the voters and the actions of the person in office, but the voters made the statement on who they wanted to win an election. It should be honored.
You want them gone? BEAT THEM. Do not play an obvious political game of impeaching them.
Here’s the rub. As long as political leaders think this response will win over voters, the insanity will continue. Voters in both parties need to reach out to their political leaders and tell them to STOP THE IMPEACHMENT MADNESS and get onto the business of running the country.
