Butler Christ Community

Greetings friends, we are so appreciative of all the support and love that was shown for our Annual Christmas Auction. We are overwhelmed with the big crowd and generosity you all gave to us!

If anyone is interested in helping out our sister church, Fairlane Baptist in their work for Single Mothers, they would be so appreciated.

Bible study is starting up again after a week off. Study begins at 6 p.m. each Wednesday.

The ladies will be meeting November 17 and on the following day, November 18, they will be going to the Gateway Museum in Maysville.

On December 2 the ladies will have their Christmas party at Brenda’s house. Bring an appetizer and an ornament for exchange.

The children will be putting on their Christmas play on Sunday, December 3.

Our sympathy to the Bruin family in the passing of Beth. Please pray with us for all those mentioned during Sunday service.

God bless you all!

"Dancing Before An Almighty God" using 2 Samuel 6:6-16 was our message of the morning, dealing with the importance of the Ark of the Covenant and its handling.  When we are fully obedient to God, then God moves!

Our Thanksgiving meal will be 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, with Michele Faulkner and Penny Wolfe bringing a mini-concert following the meal.  Come join us.

Our youth will be having a "Decorating" Pizza Party after morning worship on November 26.

Prayer concerns include Bobby and Linda Johnson, Hunter Bruin, Jeanine Cox, Gerald Barlow, Julie Sandy, Patty Thomas, Brenda Cobb, Diane Moorhead, Larry Powell, Tammy Moore, Rick Halcomb, Jane Bentle, Ricky Gillespie, Geneva Morris, shut-ins, cancer/Covid issues, and our military.

Our sympathy goes to loved ones of David Keith Johnson, Beth Bruin, "Cookie" Oldham, and Curtis Shelton.

Joshua is asking choose you this day whom you will serve.  If you are unwilling to obey the Lord, then decide whom you will obey.  Will it be the gods of your ancestors beyond the Euphrates or the gods of the Amorites here in this land?  But for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.  The people replied, we would never forsake the Lord.  For the Lord is the one who rescued our fathers from their slavery in the land of Egypt.

Who is your choice?  There are only two and I think you know that.  God or Satan.  Choosing the gift of salvation is free.  Serving God is the best choice.

Is Jesus the only way to God? “I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” 1 John 5:13 This was from our time in Sunday school at 10 a.m., we had such a good time of discipleship and discussion.

In worship at 11 a.m., we rejoiced with the baptism of Gabe Price; pray for Gabe as he begins his walk with Christ.

We had a wonderful testimony supporting the importance of praying for our youth. Then we recognized the Veterans in our service, we are so thankful for their service. Perry Gregg did a wonderful job with her violin special, then Richard Osterlind led the children’s message.

Join us for worship, there’s something for everyone, God’s word! It could be through the music, the message or the fellowship.
