Nedra English Marksberry, 84, of Falmouth, KY, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Health Care in Edgewood, KY.

Born on November 8, 1938, in Falmouth, KY, she was a daughter of the late Robert Parker and Anna Marie Straub English and a 1956 graduate of Falmouth High School. On March 24, 1956, she married Gene T. Marksberry, and her dear husband of 56 years preceded her in death on July14, 2012. Together, they raised two girls, owned and operated Marksberry Heating and Air, and took part in many community events with family and friends. In her later years, Nedra remained active with visits to the Pendleton County Senior Citizens Center.  Nedra made the most of every day cherishing time with her family and friends.

For 20 years, Nedra worked as a para-educator at Pendleton High School. Previously, she served as an administrator with Rite Aid Pharmacy and a bookkeeper for their business.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her two daughters: Vicki Lieberum (Mike) of Hallandale Beach, FL and Robin Geiman (Larry) of Alexandria, KY; three grandchildren: Brittany Vance (Joe) of Melbourne, KY, Chad Wagner (Kelsey) of Melbourne, KY, and Faith Geiman of Florence, KY; two great-grandchildren: Leah and Blake Vance; two sisters: Brenda Fields (Haden) of Busy, KY and Diane Hogue (Jeff) of Falmouth; one brother, Danny English of Falmouth; two sisters-in-law: Emma English and Margaret English, both of Falmouth; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings: Bobby English, Billy English, Rosella Florer, Barbara Pugh, Larry English, and Jimmy English.

The visitation and funeral services were held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Marvin Sullivan officiating. Special music was shared by Adarin Williams.  Serving as pallbearers were Larry Geiman, Joe Vance, Chad Wagner, Ronnie English, Danny English, Jeff Hogue, Jeff Pugh, and Brandon Edgley. Honorary pallbearers were Tom and Rita Woolery, Gene Marksberry, Pete Lawson, and Julia Kaye Lawson. 

Interment took place at Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.
