Lois Ann Herbolt passed away at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana, on Thursday, December 28th, 2023. She was born Lois Ann Dahms in Covington, Kentucky, on April 2nd, 1952, to Joe and Verna Mae (England) Dahms.

Lois lived an active life devoted to family and friends. She loved them all deeply. There were many things she enjoyed doing such as reading, cooking, traveling, card games, collecting cookie jars, canning vegetables, working on puzzles, watching television game shows, and recording the family genealogy.

Along with being a homemaker, she worked for IRS, also an Emergency Medical Technician, a Stride-Rite shoe distributor, and a secretary for the Bob Braun Show in Cincinnati, OH.

Lois was known as a mother to all she met. She was always greeting them with warm smiles and firm hugs. She was kind, lovable, humble, and humorous with a contagious, positive spirit. She would never allow anyone to leave her home hungry or thirsty, this also included all stray animals she would see around her home. Lois was continuously willing to give help to all when needed.

Lois was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1986. She remained faithful for many years. Her greatest joy was in teaching the important Bible messages of hope to others. She refused to let her illness slow her zeal and determination to serve her God Jehovah fully to the end.

Lois leaves to cherish her memory, her children: James Lee Herbolt (Norma) of Richmond, IN, Roger Allen Herbolt of Richmond, IN, Gary Robert Herbolt of Richmond, IN, and adopted son Toby Bassnett; grandchild: Tina Renee Burdette of Richmond, IN; and great-grandchildren: Taylor Kinnison of Richmond, IN and Gabriella Burdette of Richmond, IN.

Lois is preceded in death by, her husband: Frank Joe Herbolt; parents: Joe and Verna Dahms; son: Ronald Herbolt; and grandson: James Herbolt II.

The family would like to express special thanks and appreciation for the loving kindness shown to all of us during this time. We have truly experienced the support of brothers and sisters “born for when there is distress” – Proverbs 17:17.
