DONALD MOORE
Donald Meeks Moore, 86, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at his home. He was born in Pendleton County, KY on April 10, 1937, son of the late Russell and Aleene Garrison Moore.
Donald graduated from Morgan High School in 1955 where he was elected as the class president. He was a lifelong member and elder of Roanoke Christian Church, past chairman of the board, and Sunday school teacher. He worked at Crescent Paper Tubing and American Tool Works. Along with that, he was the owner of Pendleton County Mills and part owner of Countryside Tractor & Supply. He was a lifelong farmer and president of the Kentucky Gelbvieh Association. Donnie loved God, family, and the land of the earth. He loved smiling and always wanted to bring smiles to others.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Alma Ruth Carr Moore, son Barry D. (Linda) Moore, daughter Becky (Darryl) Sargent, grandson Chris (Alison) Moore, and great grandchildren Ava and Wyatt Moore.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m.,Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the Peoples Funeral Home in Butler, KY. A second visitation will follow on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 10-11 a.m. at the Roanoke Christian Church with funeral services immediately following at 11 a.m.
Donald’s final resting place will be at Morgan cemetery.
