Carol F. Houchen, 96, of Falmouth, KY, passed away on Feb. 17 at his home. Carol was born in Falmouth, on June 28, 1927, son to the late Clark and Zelma Foley Houchen. 

Carol graduated from Falmouth High School in 1945, then continued his education and graduated from the University of Kentucky. He was the owner of Houchens Clothing Store and he helped start the Pendleton County Country Club, which opened in 1970. Carol was a member of the American Legion, Kentucky Golf Association Senior Board of Directors, Pendleton County Jaycees, Riverside Cemetery Board, Falmouth Christian Church, and President of UKB Board of Directors.

In addition to his parents, Carol is proceeded in death by his wife Nancy Houchen, and daughter Nancy Carol Houchen. 

He is survived by his son Steve (Cindy) Houchen; daughter Lisa Houchen; grandchildren Erin Houchen and Paige (Brad) Sherman; great-grandchildren Janzen and Jairus Wilder; special friends Leslie Booth and Larry Mynes.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Feb. 21 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler, KY. Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Feb. 22, also at the funeral home. 

Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. 

Memorials, if desired, are suggested to Falmouth Christian Church.
