Blanket Creek

Daniel chapter 3 is a well known story in the Bible. It shows us how we are not to be conformed to the world but to God only. Daniel and his friends refused to bow down to King Nebuchadnezzar and refused to eat his meat. He prayed every day to his God. For that they were thrown into a fiery furnace. I love Daniel’s thoughts where he says if the king lets them go it’s okay if not that’s okay too. He will be with God in His kingdom. Where will you be? We added several to our prayer list today. Please be in prayer for them God knows who they  are. Also be with the families of Emily Taylor Kramer, Justin Daniel Hitch, R. T. Miller.

We’d like to invite you to join us for our annual Homecoming celebration Sunday August 30. Our guest speaker will be Dwayne Norman of the Kentucky Baptist Convention. Special music will be presented by Jeff Doan.

We invite past, present members and any and all visitors to join us. 10:00 Sunday school and worship at 11:00. A fantastic lunch will also be served immediately after the service.

We hope to see you there.

Greetings friends, "I love those who love ME, and those who seek ME , find ME."

Pastor Ron used Exodus 3:10-15 as a reference for his message on Sunday morning "I AM WHO I AM!" When we resist God's directive and say, "Who am I," I can’t do this,He says "I will be with you."

On Friday night at 6:30 p.m. the adults will be gathering here for a game night, bring a snack and join us.

Next Friday night, the 28th, William will be meeting with our older youth group.

Pine Grove United Methodist

This week’s lesson was the Good Samaritan, found in Luke 10:25-37. Of course, most know the basic story Jesus told as a parable. However, this time, we considered how the Jewish man, who was the victim of the robbers, may have felt about being saved by a Samaritan. Jews and Samaritans had hated each other for centuries. But Jesus’ lesson here is that, as God created the whole world, we are called to be neighbors to that whole world, even Jews and Samaritans and everyone.

As PGUMC plans to find new ways we can be neighbors to others, we will hold a congregational planning meeting following worship next Sunday, August 23.

Pine Grove UMC invites all to join us for worship each Sunday at 10:30am.

The church is located at 9095 Ky 10, in Caddo.

Pleasant Ridge Baptist

Bro. Mark’s message was from Romans 6:1-15.

Alive in Christ and dead in sin. Shall we keep sinning so that God can keep showing us kindness and forgiveness? Of course not! Sins power over us was broken when we became Christians and were baptized to become part of Jesus Christ. Through his death the power of your sinful nature was shattered.  Glorious power brought Jesus back to life again.  Now you are given this new life to enjoy.

Be alive in Christ and dead to sin or be alive in sin and dead to Christ.  Death causes separation.  Give yourself completely to God.

Trinity Southern Baptist

What an incredible Sunday at Trinity Southern Baptist Church! We began the day by celebrating our 37th baptism of the year, another reminder of how God continues to change lives in our community.

During worship, we continued our journey through the book of Philippians and took time to pray over our Trinity students, teachers, and school staff as they prepare for another school year.

Sunday afternoon, we were honored to join First Baptist Church for the annual Prayer at the Schools event. Together, we traveled throughout Pendleton County, stopping to pray over every school as well as the bus garage. First Baptist has faithfully participated in this ministry for more than 24 years, and Trinity has been blessed to partner alongside them for the past seven.

We are thankful for churches coming together to cover our students, educators, staff, and community in prayer as a new school year begins!

Turner Ridge Baptist

"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, …" Psalm 127:3, and today we celebrated Hattie Layne Gregg’s first Sunday at Turner Ridge. Bro. Dale had prayer with Seth, Kaylee and Hattie.

As school starts, the children’s message was an important topic. "Jesus In The Temple," from Luke 2, told how Jesus at the young age of 12 was in the temple listening and asking questions. “And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers.” Luke 2:47. The way kids learn in school is to be present and study; the way kids learn in church is to be present and study. Bible drill is for kids 3-6 grade and meets on Sunday nights at 6 pm.

Missions was the message, from Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samarie, and to the end of the earth.” We are all called to be on Mission.
