Unified pair finish as they start, on the medalist podium

    As seventh graders, Sam Bryant and Parker Schry started the journey of this new track and field program called Unified Sports that teamed an athlete with a special needs athlete. The partnership has turned into a deep friendship that has seen them win state championships and makle several trips to the medalist’s podium. Their senior year was no different as Bryant and Schry medaled in both long jump and shot put.
    In long jump, they finished fourth with a combined distance of 19’ 7 1/2”.
    They placed third in shot put with a combined distance of 60’ 3 1/2”.
