Dear Editor
On May 15, 2021, Pendleton County High School Football participated in the Adopt-a-Highway program. Our team of 14 players and four coaches cleaned up 27 bags of roadside litter over 10.5 miles of route 17, mostly beverage cans/bottles, food bags and wrappers.
The team takes great pride in being able to contribute to cleaning up our beautiful county and serving others. We encourage everyone to share in that pride and never throw anything out of your vehicle window - simply wait until you get home and place the waste in your trash can.
If you have bulky items, you can take advantage of the free day at the landfill the second Saturday of every month.
You can also take items like e-waste, used oil, antifreeze, batteries, and propane tanks to the Pendleton County Solid Waste road barn.
Wildcat appreciates the opportunity to serve our county!
