The Ladycats rebounded from their current losing streak to take a win over district opponent Robertson County last week. The Ladycats, who put three players scoring in double digits, were led by Cara Stewart with 13 points as she worked the elbow drive throughout the game. Saniah Thomas put in 11 points and pulled seven rebounds from the other post position. Skylar Ashcraft had a really nice game adding 11 points, four rebounds, four assists, and six deflections.
The 50-33 win by the Ladycats locked them into third place in district seeding and a future game with Nicholas County in the 38th District Tournament.
Last Friday, the Ladycats travelled 17 over to take on Carroll County. Again Stewart and Thomas combined for a strong showing in the post. Stewart set the mark with 16 points and three blocks as Thomas added 12 points and nine deflections. The Ladycats pulled out the victory 44-32 on the road and traveled back home to face the Lady Saints of St.  Patrick on Saturday morning.
The game with St. Pat was a rematch of a game played earlier in the season at Maysville that saw the Lady Saints defeat Pendleton County 48-38.
The Ladycats went into the game hoping to avenge the loss, but it was apparent that was not going to be the case as the Ladycats continued to make bad pass after bad pass which limited their opportunies to score. Where Coach Jenna O’Hara was getting two to three players each game to score in double digits, only Cara Stewart was able to do that against St. Pat.
Maggie Burgemier played well in her minutes on the floor for the Ladycats, establishing her prescence in the post. She also added five points on the offensive side.
The Ladycats fell to the Lady Saints by the score of 46-43.
The JV team picked up two wins with big scoring  games against Robertson by Cailyn Harper with 13 points and Allison Aulick with nine points. Coach David Tackett’s squad now stands at 15-3 on the year.
The Freshman Ladycats picked up three more wins during the week with a strong win over district rival Harrison County 53-21 in which Madison Verst scored 10 and 11 deflections and Maci Peoples contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds. The week continued with a nice win over Mason County 32- 21, in which eight Ladycats scored, and a big win over St. Pat 47- 16. Allison Aulick and Reese Barlow were in double digits scoring 14 and 13 respectively.
Coach Kelsie McClanahan’s team completed their season with a 15-5 record.
