While treating pets and animals on a daily basis, Licking Valley Veterinary reaches out to help animals that don’t have that loving owner and home that so many of their patients do. This year, they are helping four non-profits by offering a chance to win one of Dr. Nathan Glaza’s paintings. Each non-profit has chosen a painting that will go to the winner of the raffle. New Day Equine Therapy Program Smiling faces is what New Day is all about. Equine therapy is for people of all ages who benefit from an interactive program that will “explore emotions, tackle challenges, and encourage development”.

Speak Up for Horses You would think that in a state known for thoroughbreds we would have laws that protect horses. Not so. Speak Up for Horses rescues horses that are victims of abuse, headed for slaughter and provides education on the inadequacies of horse welfare. https://www.speakupforhorses.org/
