Dear Editor
I love living in a county within a state-where the city display three flags!
In front of city hall-which is the Betsy Ross flag of 13 Stars is displayed. A flag which has been flown-at a historical building, built under the President Thomas Jefferson’s administration!! Yes, that flag is flown not in many places inside the borders of the U.S.A. An intersection and one building away on the courthouse square; there displayed are two flags; The 50 Star Flag and the POW Flag!!
In my little section of the county we had the descendants of Mr. John Hanson. Rumor has it, he the was the president of The Continental Congress! I guess many people haven’t heard about the U.S.A.-first form of American Government. Scrapped that form, the current form of Federal Government was established. A government that will stand until Jesus Christ 2nd Coming!!
Sorry, I mentioned government and religion; I might be reprimanded of putting these 2 words together-The Haynes Act.
My county has seen the faithful, where the sighting of The Virgin Mary had been in the 1990’s. I live in a county where a woman worked under President Richard Nixon. Sorry the man had to be crucified again; after he was mentioned Jan. 6, 2021 by the press. To live in a county, where a Co Nobel Prize Winner in Medicine working at MIT, once lived!! My county may not be remembered for what we had: a fallen hero-who was one of the last troop putting a fellow soldier out of harm’s way-after the trus of Desert Storm! He is buried at Arlington National Cemetary in Virginia; not Washington, D.C. proper!!
My county will be known for sports. Do we have a future N.B.A. star on the University Of Kentucky basketball team? A young man, who is very quiet and loves God, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit! Oh! Yes, you have seen the other “jocks” on television, too!
May God Hold Us Close and Heal Us Today!!
